Q2000 FO MONITOR System is a set of assistive devices to maintain and oversee the optical access and backbone networks. The primary task of the system is permanent monitoring of the state of fibre network by automatically measuring the power level of optical signal at the beginning and end of a fiber optic line. Any change of network parameters for a specified value trigger an alarm. The whole process is managed by the SCADA system. Its main functions consist of collecting actual data (measurements), its visualization, alarming and data archiving.
